Alwyn is a chartered physiotherapist and a full member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
She qualified from University of Limerick in 2006 and has continually worked in a variety of medical settings since. She worked in the HSE for 5 years in areas including ICU, rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and acute neurology and primary care.
Since leaving the HSE she had worked as a physiotherapist for football teams, worked with acute orthopaedic cases in a private hospital and has taught Pilates. In August 2016 she opened the doors to her own private practice clinic in Unit 3, Mullingar Enterprise Technology and Innovation Centre.
Personally Alwyn has a high interest in being active. She regularly swims in the pool and open water. She enjoys most water sports, yoga, and walking with her dogs (especially at the beach or hiking up some hills), scooting, cycling and playing outdoors with her 2 boys also.
She enjoys the problem solving of physiotherapy and dealing with people and all the ailments they may present with.
As Alwyn is a member of the ISCP she is fully recognised by all health insurers. She is also registered with CORU.
